Q. When should I bring my car to you?
Typically I am the last person in the chain when building a new race car.
Firstly the dash, PDM and ECU’s, as well as other devices should be fitted and mounted. The Engine should be full of Coolant and Oil and be ready to start. Once the car is ready to be started then bring it to me.
We will push it in and drive it out!
Q. Where is the best place to mount the ECU and other electrical devices?
I was once told by an ECU manufacturer, pick a spot and if you can’t hold your forehead there comfortably with the engine running, then an ECU shouldn’t be mounted there.
Q. How long will it take?
A full new car wire up will take from 55hrs to 90hrs depending on the options selected prior to the job commencing. This is typically 2-3weeks.
