DYNO TUNING

Dyno tuning involves putting your car onto a rolling road and optimising the engines performance under all operating conditions, not just full throttle.

This means tuning the engine at 100% throttle and then running the engine again at 80% then 60% throttle tuning the engine for maximum response at all times.

With a Turbo engine, the power and boost level will be the same at 80% as it is at 100%. Therefore the accelerator will lose resolution (driver reducing the accelerator opening doesn’t mean reduction in torque) this sometimes means using a boost controller to reduce the boost level at lower throttle openings and regaining throttle resolution and therefore drivability.

An engine that is linear and smooth to drive will inherently be fast and enjoyable. This is also achieved by keeping on top of all the latest software upgrades and the newest fuel and spark strategies offered by the ECU manufacturers.
